Daily Activities – The activities staff work to make sure your vacation will be a memorable one. Activities include walks on the beach, stretching classes, ping pong tournaments, darts tournaments, aerobics and water aerobics, beach volleyball, beach soccer, cooking lessons, bingo, and music.
Playa Huanacoa – The Hotel Playa offers an on-site adventure course with climbing walls, rappelling stations, and two 400 ft. beachfront zip lines.
Nightly Entertainment – Entertainment and theme parties include movie night, beach parties, a lip sync show, Mexican fiesta, International show, Caribbean paradise show, and guests participation show.
Children’s Activities – Offering a wide range of activities designed for young children. Activities include Mexican bingo, sack races, water basket, hand crafts, let’s go fishing, volleyball, water balloons, sand sculptures, drawing, waiter race, treasure hunt, coconut bowling, ring toss, tug of war, limbo, pinata party, and more.

Local Sights – Both the city of Mazatlan and the surrounding region have a rich cultural and historic past.
- Start your tour along the scenic coast sidewalk that starts at the Golden Zone and makes it’s way to the light house at the port of Mazatlan. “El Faro” (The Light House) is the second highest in the world and offers a breath-taking view.
- The Aquarium is the Largest in Latin America with a permanent exhibition of some 300 different marine and freshwater species, including captive piranha and sharks.
- Take a trip to Isla Venados (Island of Deers) where you can practice scuba diving or travel to nearby Isla de la Piedra (Stone Island) to see its abundant wildlife in a primitive setting.
- Day trips to Pre-Columbian ruins in Quelite or visit 16th century mining towns in Concordia or Copala, all available through the travel agency.

A Bit of History – Unlike Mexican resorts that have sprung up overnight and have little or no local color, Mazatlan has a long and interesting history. The official date of the founding of Mazatlan is May 14, 1531 when Spanish explorer Nuno de Guzman, sent a party of 25 castellans to settle on the islands and valley of Mazatlan, there they established themselves in the skirts of what is now known as Ice Box Hill. One of the first responsibilities the settlers had, was to defend the town from the many pirates seeking refuge.
Later the Spaniards exploited the rich treasures in the hills above Mazatlan for the glory of Spain.
In 1800 the city was incorporated and Municipal Government followed in 1837, thereafter, Mazatlan grew as an international seaport and center of commerce.
